1921 Silent film starring and produced by Hobart Bosworth. This film was directed by Rowland V Lee and tells the story of a bitter sea captain angry with the world because his wife left him. The film also stars Emory Johnson and Bessie Love. Copied from 8mm so it is very grainy and murky. Here on the Internet Archive you can also see Hobart Bosworth, an all but forgotten cinema pioneer, as The Scarecrow in "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" and as Mr Harrington in the uncut version of...

the batcave are an experimental noise duo who believe in pushing boundries and lighting fires. in this, their previously SOLD OUT 3" CDr EP (and first release), the batcave find themselves lost in a sea of way "too many transmissions". utilizing a mass of noise pedals, mega-distorted electric guitars, maniacal voice and more crazed bursts of sound and instruments, this EP takes you on a fuzzed out trip you might not return from! visit: www.geocities.com/thebatcave27

This is my ukulele recording debut and is a direct cover of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version, made famous in the USA by the movie 50 First Dates. I've had a uke for a while but never sat down and actually learned a real song. After hearing this song I was inspired to learn it and challenged by my dad to perform it.

Farallon Plate sinks beneath North American Plate and scrapes along bottom of continent for 1,500 kilometers before sinking again. Note: Farallon started off normally enough. It plunged beneath the North American Plate at a forty-five degree angle. This process sprouted volcanoes to form the Sierra Nevada in what is now California. Next, mantle motions pulled North America westward over Farallon, and the plate scraped along the bottom of the continent - for fifteen hundred kilometers. As North...

This is the most complete version available (just over 93 minutes) as this movie was demanded by Bram Stokers widow to be destroyed after winning 2 lawsuits in the mid & late 1920's. Tinted scenes and beautiful quality. I have seen the current version here at archive.org and decided to post this one as it is of much better video quality, although the music is a nit hokey. Enjoy this classic horror with the very creepy Max Schrek as the (IMHO) best vampire ever to waltz across the silver...

A measurement of photosynthesis is essentially a measurement of successful growth, and growth means successful use of ambient carbon. Until now, scientists have only had a continuous record of photosynthesis on land. But following three years of continual data collected by the SeaWiFS instrument, NASA has gathered the first record of photosynthetic productivity in...
